About this preview

LowFlyingNuts (LFN) is a personal hobby website operated by Alex Jones, presenting aircraft photography and daily aircraft games. Contact lowflyingnuts@gmail.com with website questions.

Google and email-code sign-in use the same account service. Only request a code for an email address you control. First-time email requests can create a private account; requesting a code is not a completed sign-in. Keep codes private and use your existing sign-in email to return to your callsign. Different emails may create separate accounts; this page cannot merge accounts or transfer names. When signed in with a callsign, the main games page starts account-saved play on your first submitted guess, skip or reveal and saves your moves online. Opening the page or selecting a game does not start a new run. Choose “Play as guest” before playing to keep progress on this device instead; guest saves are not uploaded or imported. A callsign-format preview does not reserve a name: sign in, confirm your choice and use the reservation button. A successful server confirmation or restored saved name establishes the reservation. Each account can hold one callsign; it cannot be renamed, transferred or released from this page. Signing out does not release it. Browser-saved results are personal results, not verified rankings.

Games and information

Games are for entertainment. Aircraft facts may contain errors or depend on the exact variant. They are not instructions for flying, navigation, flight planning or other safety-critical decisions.

You can play as a guest. Local progress can be lost if browser data is removed, a device changes or the preview changes. Sign-in does not currently synchronise that progress. This preview has no paid entry or cash prizes.

Fair play and responsible use

Please do not attack the service, try to access someone else’s account or information, bypass account controls, impersonate other people or send abusive reports. Do not use automation to overload the site.

Ranked play permits one server-saved run per account per UK day, with no restarts. The server records accepted guesses, skips and reveals and calculates the four game scores. New account runs started with the automatic-entry notice appear on the shared board automatically when all four games are finished before midnight UK time. Older runs started under private-until-published wording keep their original Publish option and are not converted automatically. Equal totals share a rank; there is no speed bonus. Only published complete runs count towards the Monday–Sunday weekly total. You can remove today’s published entry here; ask LFN about older entries. Changing browser saves cannot change ranked scores. Please do not use answer lookups, automation or multiple accounts to gain a ranking advantage. The puzzle bank is public: this casual service is not a tamper-proof competition, and there are no prizes. LFN may investigate or remove abusive or invalid entries.

Community callsigns

Reserved callsigns appear in the public roster by default. Recent-activity visibility is also on by default; existing saved hidden/offline choices are kept. You can hide either from your account without releasing your name or changing your game scores. Only callsigns/counts appear, not sign-in emails or real names. The total reserved count includes hidden names.

“Who’s about?” means activity in the past 15 minutes, not proof someone is watching now. Closing the page or signing out does not immediately remove recent activity. Switch online visibility off to clear its latest timestamp. Public lists can take about a minute to refresh. See the community privacy information for retention and choices. This update replaces the earlier private defaults without resetting saved choices.

Photographs and other content

Photography credits identify the contributors. Displaying a photograph here does not transfer ownership or grant permission to republish it, sell it or remove its credit. Please ask the relevant photographer before reusing their work.

Third-party names and marks remain associated with their respective owners. LFN is not Google, Supabase, Meta, an aircraft manufacturer or a military organisation.

External services and privacy

Google handles Google sign-in; Supabase provides the account service, Resend delivers requested sign-in emails, and Cloudflare delivers the website. Social-media links open external services, and optional Instagram feeds are governed by your feed preference. These providers have their own terms and privacy policies.

Read the privacy notice for information use, storage and your rights. To close an account and request deletion, contact the LFN email above; requests are handled manually. Signing out is not account deletion. Do not send passwords or authentication codes to LFN support.

Availability and changes

This is a work-in-progress preview. Features, game editions and availability may change while it is tested. No uptime or permanent-storage guarantee is offered by this preview.

There is no website checkout or subscription in this version. A patch marked “coming soon” is not a completed order. Any future sale or paid feature will need its own clear information before a purchase.

Nothing in these terms removes your statutory rights or excludes responsibility where doing so would be unlawful. LFN will update these terms when the service materially changes; these terms do not authorise undisclosed uses of your information.

Use a game’s “Report a dodgy question” control to prepare a report, or contact the LFN address above. The report tool copies text only; you choose whether to send it. Please describe the issue without including other people’s private information.
